Optimization Design of an Alfalfa Seed Airflow Collection and Drainage System Based on Numerical Simulation

In order to improve the working performance of an Alfalfa air conveyor, a type horizontal screw conveyor with seed stirring function was designed. The process co-simulated by EDEM software and ADAMS software. effects mechanism on population movement characteristics, stress, mass flow rate variation coefficient each index were obtained. results showed that can effectively mobility population, reduce local dead zone increase material filling between spiral blades. Under same conditions, has higher conveying efficiency better uniformity. optimize structure parameters Venturi injector diffuser seeding uniformity, Fluent used co-simulate process. influence analyzed taking changes in pressure velocity inner field pipeline force particles as indices. when diffusion angle is 5°, length section 200 mm mixing 50 mm, loss ejector smallest, outlet largest, uniformity feeding best highest. Taking inlet particle test factors number discharge index, two-factor five-level full factor carried out, range variance analyses out. wind had significant variation. optimal combination 1.6 kpa 1.8 g/s efficiency.
